Background:

In my online storytelling and engagement class, our final project was to create a website about a topic we chose to research. This website included a listicle, article, video, podcast, and interactive element. This project was worked on throughout the semester, with each portion being a different section and our final being all of it put together in a website. I chose to do my project on dating culture in the 2020s since I knew that it was a topic that many people could relate to.

Results:

I wrote the listicle and article using AP style writing, which challenged me to set up interviews, take notes, and pick out what was important from my recordings. For my podcast, I contacted a relationship therapist and set up an interview in the on-campus podcast studio, as well as editing it. I directed the video and edited it using Adobe Premiere, as well as gathering data and research from secondary sources to imbed into my written pieces, designing a logo for the podcast, and creating a quiz to take after you've interacted with everything on the website. Finally, I put it all together in a website I designed using Wix! This project allowed me to use all the skills I learned so far in the Journalism department and practice working on a deadline.
