During my last semester at Colorado State University, I took a design workshop where I learned the ins and outs of Adobe Illustrator and dabbled in Figma. One of our first projects involved brand design. We created a fictional brand that we would use to created logos, color paletes, patterns, and other assets for. We learned about fonts, colors, and instagram carousels, as well as creating an app using Figma.
I created the brand Loops of Love, which is a craft store focused on crochet. I made a design brief, mood board, and brand pack, which included logo variations, patterns, color swatches, and icons. I used these deliverables to make mockups of the store sign, merch, and an instagram carousel promoting the store. These assets were also used to create a brand guidelines sheet and a wireframe for an app I would later create in Figma. My work resulted in an A on this project, as well as skills in branding and a strong foundation and understanding of Figma.
